Welcome to the Stouffville Legion Branch 459
This spectacular display of blue light is a tribute to the men and women who have served Canada both at home and abroad. Over 300 landmarks in 20 countries are confirmed to participate in this global illumination campaign. Notable Canadian landmarks include the CN Tower, Montréal Tower, Calgary Tower, Vancouver Sails of Light, Esplanade Riel, and even the majestic Niagara Falls. In the coming weeks, more landmarks and countries are expected to join this inspiring celebration.
Canadians across the country are encouraged to participate by lighting up their cities, businesses, and homes in blue. Share your photos on social media using the hashtags #RCAF100 and #100YearsOfFlyingBlue to show your support for the Royal Canadian Air Force and its personnel.
As part of the festivities, the RCAF will also attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most landmarks illuminated in 24 hours. This record-breaking endeavor is just one of many ways the RCAF will celebrate its centennial. Throughout the spring and summer, events like air shows, the RCAF Run, gala balls, and commemorative tree plantings will take place across Canada and the world, honoring the RCAF’s remarkable 100-year legacy.
Let the skies glow blue as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the next generation of aviators! 🛩️🇨🇦✨
